Exploring AI’s Perception of My Personality, Branding, and Life’s Meaning
#35 What Does the World Really Know About You? ChatGPT’s Take on Thomas Nguyen
Hey! I am so grateful to have you back at my blog. Your subscription means the world to me. ❤️ In order to get to know you better, here is a question for you: “What do you use AI or Chat GPT for?” 😊
Now jumping into today’s blog:
Ever wondered what the world knows about you?
In order to find that out, I asked Chat GPT to do some research about me. I asked Chat GPT:
“What do you know about Thomas Nguyen. Also known as tnguyenofficial or son of a viet kieu. What personality and expertise/branding do you think he has?”
Just 15 seconds later, I received an overview of what Chat GPT thought of me.
In this blog, I will share the answer of Chat GPT and add my personal thoughts on following topics:
Thomas’s personality
Thomas’s expertise/branding
Thomas’s meaning of life
Are your ready to see how Thomas will be judged by an artificial intelligence?
1. Thomas’s personality
Chat GPT’s answer:
Reflective and Insightful: Thomas seems to have a deep, introspective nature. His content reflects a strong desire to understand and convey the complexities of identity, particularly within the context of being a Viet Kieu (a Vietnamese living abroad).
Inspirational and Encouraging: His focus on self-improvement and sharing personal stories to inspire others indicates a motivational personality. He seeks to empower his audience by showing that challenges can be overcome through self-belief and honesty.
Empathetic and Relatable: Given his exploration of personal experiences and the challenges of living in different cultures, he likely connects well with people who share similar backgrounds or who are also navigating their identities.
My thoughts:
I do have to admit, that I felt happy, when I read this summary. Regardless of whether I am at work or in my private life, I do focus on understanding people on a deeper level, not just others but also myself.
Every piece of content I create, I do so, with the aim to inspire others or share my story as a German Vietnamese (currently) living in Ho Chi Minh City. So I agree, with that, too.
But i believe that there is one thing missing … Where the hell is #yeudoi ???
I thought, my love for life and spreading kindness and positivity should be the biggest anchor of my life. Well … maybe I need to show Chat GPT my cool merchandise.
2. Thomas’s expertise/branding
Chat GPT’s answer:
Identity and Cultural Exchange: His branding as "Son of a Viet Kieu" positions him as an expert on issues related to the Viet Kieu community, cultural identity, and the experiences of living between different worlds.
Self-Development and Entrepreneurship: His content likely appeals to those interested in personal growth, entrepreneurship, and the journey of self-discovery. He offers insights into how to navigate the complexities of identity and use them as a strength in one's personal and professional life.
Storytelling and Content Creation: Through his blogs, podcasts, and potentially other media, Thomas has built a brand around storytelling, using his personal narrative to create engaging and relatable content for his audience.
My thoughts:
One of my mission is definitely to spread the word about self-development, especially navigating the question about identity.
As Vietnamese growing up in Germany, I do feel the importance to share my story and challenges with other Vietnamese overseas. Not only to inspire others, but also to reflect and get insight from others that might have experienced something similar.
Due to globalization, I genuinely believe that it is extremely important to have an international mindset and social skills in order to interact with people from all sorts of backgrounds.
I agree, that most of this is conveyed through my blogs and podcasts, but where is the German teaching part?
I actually thought, that I was more known for my German teaching than doing workshops and content around intercultural understanding lol. Seems like, hundreds of TikTok videos about learning German where not analyzed … maybe it is mainly in Vietnamese?
3. Thomas’s meaning of life
Chat GPT’s answer:
“Thomas Nguyen's meaning of life seems deeply tied to self-discovery, connection, and growth. From his content as "Son of a Viet Kieu," he appears to find meaning in understanding his own identity, especially as someone living between cultures. He emphasizes the importance of embracing one’s authentic self, learning from past mistakes, and sharing those lessons to inspire others. His reflections on personal growth and cultural exchange suggest that he sees life as a journey of continuous learning, where meaning is found in the relationships we build, the challenges we overcome, and the way we evolve through these experiences.
For him, life likely involves finding balance between ambition and mindfulness, pushing oneself while knowing when to slow down—something that may reflect his Vietnamese heritage’s concept of “Cố Lên” (perseverance) as well as a respect for emotional and mental well-being. Ultimately, it seems his meaning of life lies in authenticity, community, and making a positive impact on others through his stories and experiences.”
My thoughts:
Honestly, I thought that the last point would be the most difficult one to answer, but it seems like Chat GPT did a great job because I believe that he summarized it even better than I could.
When I read it, I did feel connected to it.
#mydailylearning
From all the content that I post in English, Chat GPT is able to filter out the important bits and judge my personality. But as expected, certain information will always be missing due to language barriers, different media or simply the fact, that I don’t share it online.
This reminds me of the judgement that we receive from other people.
Often times, people judge us based on our online appearance, first meeting in a café, or our CV. Each time, we show only tiny fraction of our true self.
It does not always because we pretend to be someone else in each situation, but we might adapt in order to have the best experience possible.
And even if we shared everything online, shared our whole life with another person on the first meeting or write a 137 page CV about every detail of our lives, information might be misunderstood due to lack of experience, communication or emotions.
No one can truly understand us 100% and we can not expect that either, because we are the only ones, that lived our lives.
So the key take away is the footer of Chat GPT that says:
”ChatGPT can make mistakes, check important information.”
Or in Thomas’s words: ”Don’t judge others too quickly and don’t believe every judgement that you receive from others.”
